War Within Volume 3 2
War Within Volume 3 the Age of Wrath Issue 2
The malevolent Megatron is back from the dead and in total control of civil war-era Cybertron, his rule reinforced by a massed army of clone troopers, the dreaded Aerospace Extermination Squadron. The Autobots are all either enslaved, forced to work on an excavation that reaches to the very core of Cybertron, or like Dynobot commander Grimlock, dead. All, that is, except for a small determined force led by Blaster and Perceptor…

War Within Volume 3 2 Synopsis
Synopsis Submitted By: Sol Fury
Cybertron is finally at peace. Not the cease-fire dreamed of by Ultra Magnus, though, but a Cybertron enslaved and controlled with an iron fist by Megatron and his millions-strong Aerospace Extermination Squad. With Grimlock dead, the rest of the Autobots have been reduced to slaves, forced to work as miners, digging a vast shaft down toward the core of Cybertron itself.
Pleased with his victory, Megatron takes some time to torture Starscream, who is sealed within a tube filled with miniature Sharkticons that Megatron calls Piranacons. Megatron orders Shockwave to research the cloning technology of the Aerospace Extermination Squad, demanding his own version of the technology within 10 cycles, and refusing to tell Shockwave where the technology was acquired.
Within the slave camps, all hope is lost for the Autobots. When Cliffjumper stumbles and his Decepticon jailers use the excuse to punish him, Brawn decides to give the Decepticons "a short, sharp lesson!" - but finds himself on the receiving end, thanks to a restraining bolt implanted on him being triggered by a nearby Aerospace Extermination drone. Ultra Magnus, witnessing the scene, depressingly returns to his slave labor, a little more hope inside him dying.
Meanwhile, Megatron communicates with an unseen ally, who claims to be the shadow partner behind Megatron's return. They remain unconvinced of Megatron, though, even though Soundwave reports that they have successfully reached Cybertron's core.
Elsewhere, a group of Aerospace Extermination Drones locate the Autobot Getaway and launch in pursuit, intent on capturing the Autobot. When it looks like he is cornered though, the drones are surprised and all but one destroyed by a group of Autobots invisible to their sensors thanks to a null-field cloak developed by Perceptor, who needs one of the drones alive to study. The Autobot resistance has begun!
